2016 National Bison Association Winter Conference
January 20 – 23, 2016 – Denver, Colorado
The 21st Annual NBA Winter Conference is fast approaching! Please mark your calendars for January 20 – 23, 2016, Denver, Colo., for three days of top notch bison education, industry networking, culinary treats and fun. The NBA Winter Conference planning committee, again headed by Beverly Brown, is currently finalizing the agenda. It will include an array of educational presentations all focused on bison, as well as fun activities, culinary delights and much more. Popular sessions, such as the Bison Mentors, will return and be expanded, as will the bison handler Q&A in the stockyards.
This year’s conference will also provide more time to socialize and network. Based on conference survey results, the committee has decided to schedule NBA board and committee meetings the day before the conference, January 19. This will allow attendees more time to network, catch up with friends, attend more conference presentations and spend more time in the stockyards with the buffalo and their handlers. As such, the conference will officially kick off at noon on Wednesday, January 20.
The NBA will return to the Denver Renaissance Hotel, or call 303-800-1314 and request the National Bison Association block), located about 10 minutes from the National Western Stock Show complex, and will again offer a buffet breakfast for just $5, for up to two guests per room. This is a great deal, as the buffet breakfast retails for $17. Select the $134/night option to receive this breakfast deal each day of the conference, or select the $124/night to skip the breakfast deal. No other breakfast is provided at the conference. The Renaissance offers clean, affordable rooms, and a free shuttle to and from Denver International Airport and the National Western Stock Show complex. The deadline to reserve your room is January 6, 2016.
Please note, we will again only sell Friday night’s Gold Trophy banquet tickets before the conference, so please buy all Friday banquet tickets you’ll need prior to the event and bring your ticket to the dinner, as you will need it to gain entry into the banquet. And remember, if you buy ten tickets, you get a reserved table.
