29 Cattle Ranchers Defrauded of $123,000

Hendersonville police have arrested a man who allegedly collected more than $123,000 in sales from cattle farmers but failed to deliver the products they ordered.

HPD received a complaint about a company known Cattle Traxx. Several customers complained they had placed orders but had not received the products, according to a news release from Detective Sgt. Jim Vaughn.

“Timothy Michael Evans, the owner of the company, sold products to several people and did not deliver it,” Vaughn said in the release.

Further investigation revealed Evans, 50, collected payment for ear tags and gateways to 29 cattle rancher, the release said.

Evans was arrested Jan. 13 on an 18-count indictment. Four counts are for theft exceeding $10,000, while all other counts are for theft less than $1,000.
