32 Senators Fight for COOL with Monday Letter

The group is warding off attempts to weaken or even suspend the Country of Origin Labeling law.

While the U.S. Senate may not currently be in session, senators are making themselves heard when it comes to Country of Origin Labeling (COOL).  In a letter addressed to the Senate Appropriations Committee Chairwoman and the Committee’s Ranking Member on Monday, a group of 32 senators urged that any effort to weaken or suspend COOL through any continuing resolution or omnibus appropriations bill needs to be rejected.
