Feral Swine Coordination Summit

On November 15th, the Montana Department of Livestock, the Montana Invasive Species Council, and USDA-APHIS Wildlife Service will hold a summit to enhance coordination on preventing the introduction of feral swine to Montana at the Northern Hotel in Billings, MT from 8 AM to 4 PM.

The intended goals and outcomes of the summit are:

• Provide education regarding Montana’s regulations pertaining to feral swine
• Launch Montana’s Squeal on Pigs education and outreach campaign
• Engage neighboring states/provinces and partners to improve coordination of feral swine management to prevent introduction in Montana
• Identify consensus and next steps on implementing a coordinated monitoring strategy
