The Wyoming Livestock Board (WLSB) sent out a memo today informing Wyoming producers that WLSB will not be receiving an additional allotment of EID tags from the USDA in fiscal year 2025 (ends September 30, 2025).
They said EID tags may be ordered directly by veterinarians, livestock markets, and producers and reminded those ordering tags that they must provide a premises ID when you place your tag order. The premise ID can be obtained by calling the Wyoming Livestock Board Animal Health office at 307-777-7515.
They also reminded producers all WLSB and federal rules regarding official identification must still be followed, which does include heifers leaving the Designated Surveillance Area (DSA).
