All Breeds Cattle Tour, Bismarck-Mandan area ND

Twenty of the region's premier seedstock producers will be featured on the North Dakota Stockmen's Association's (NDSA) 30th annual All Breeds Cattle Tour Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 4-5. The two-day tour begins in Mandan, N.D., and will make stops in Burleigh, Morton and Oliver Counties. 
 
“The All Breeds Cattle Tour is a wonderful chance to see a sampling of many different breeders' herds in just a couple of days,” said Julie Ellingson, NDSA executive vice president. “It's a great way to preview their offerings and to enjoy camaraderie and fellowship with other cattle producers.” 
 
Registration begins at 7 a.m. Oct. 4 at the tour headquarters, the Comfort Inn & Suites in Mandan, N.D. Busses will depart there for visits to MacDonald Ranches of Bismarck, N.D., Moser Simmental of Baldwin, N.D., and West Branch Ranch of Baldwin, N.D., that morning. Following lunch and a tour at Strommen Ranch of Fort Rice, N.D., the tour will head to Schaff Angus Valley of St. Anthony, N.D., then Ellingson Angus of St. Anthony, N.D. Marohl's Yellowtop Angus of Solen, N.D., and Martin and Angie Schaff Cattle of Mandan, N.D., will also have seedstock on display at the Ellingson Angus stop. The tour will resume at Keller's Broken Heart Ranch of Mandan, N.D., and Tokach Angus Ranch of St. Anthony, N.D., before supper and socializing at the St. Anthony Verein Hall that evening. 
 
The tour will continue on Oct. 5 with 7 a.m. registration and bus departure at approximately 7:30 a.m. Gustin's Diamond D Gelbvieh, Helbling Herefords and Chimney Butte Ranch, all of Mandan, N.D., will host the morning stops. The tour will journey then to TNT Simmentals of Almont, N.D., before heading to the Morton County Fairgrounds in New Salem, N.D., where lunch will be served and Doll Ranch, Fast Angus/Strommen Cattle Company, Kaelberer Simmental and Kunkel Simmental, all of New Salem, N.D., will be exhibiting their livestock. A stop at Diamond J Angus of Mandan, N.D., will follow, and a stop at Mandan Lake Simmental of Center, N.D., will conclude the tour. 
 
A grand finale doorprize worth $500 toward the purchase of an animal from any of the tour hosts will be drawn at the final stop. You must be present to win.
