Common Vitamin/Mineral Issues and their Diagnoses in Cattle of Northern Montana. This presentation will address the most commonly identified vitamin and mineral deficiencies, causes of the deficiencies, clinical effects of the deficiencies, testing strategies, and overall impacts on animal health

1:00 PM – 2:00 PM Dr. Emily Meccage, MSU Extension Forage Specialist
Dr. Meccage will discuss annual forages for drought. This will include research result for new varieties, including triticale, that were conducted at several research centers across the state.

2:00 PM – 3:00 PM Aeric Reilley, Farmers Union Insurance PRF Insurance
PRF (Pasture, Rangeland, and Forage) Insurance. How the program works for the rancher or hay producer, and how to get the most out of your coverage.

3:00 PM – 4:00 PM Dr. Brian Warr, Veterinarian, Necropsy for Beef Cattle
Dr. Brian Warr, veterinarian from Linden Alberta will discuss the process of preforming a necropsy for livestock producers. He will also explain the important organs that producers can take photos of in consultation with their local veterinarian in determining cause of death in beef cattle.
