by

The Montana Stockgrowers Association’s T-Bone Classic is underway in Big Sky, Montana and that’s where you’ll find our Network’s Russell Nemetz and Lane Nordlund. The T-Bone Classic has become an annual event for MSGA with it’s proceeds going towards it’s Research, Education and Endowment Foundation (REEF).

John Grande is a rancher from Martinsdale, MT and is also the Chairman of MSGA’s REEF. He talked with Lane Nordlund in Big Sky this week about the importance of REEF’s T-Bone Classic.

This year the annual MSGA Convention will be held in Billings again, but John says for attendees there’s a new host hotel and venue for convention activities.

They say taxes and death are the two most certain things in life. And for farmers and ranchers, it’s probably safe to say that the IRS is scarier then the pearly gates. Curt Barnekoff is a certified public accountant for WipFli-GHG and talked with Russell Nemetz in Big Sky about some important tax extender bills working thru Congress important to farmers and ranchers.

This summer Mother Nature as wrecked havoc on a lot crops across our region. Curt Barnekoff says it’s really important that farmers visit with their CPA’s about this crop damage.
