Brooks Angus Ranch

Welcome to our 2016 Production Sale,

So far this has been the nicest winter we have ever had in Southwest North Dakota. It helps make up for the
drop in the market since last year. This is still the second best cattle market we have ever seen, and quality genetics are really paying off.

I think we have a great offering. The bulls are moderate framed and thick. They have not been creep fed or
over fed after weaning. The contemporary group off the two year olds gained 3.29 pounds per day from weaning until we took yearling weights the end of February. The group off the cows gained 3.17 pounds per day. They are
sound and in shape to go to work. Over 70{f75e9bc95454961d27ea60375533d5bd3793c6b31aa68057771d9b5363a8de8e} of them are calving ease bulls that will work on heifers but yet still in the top 25{f75e9bc95454961d27ea60375533d5bd3793c6b31aa68057771d9b5363a8de8e} of the breed for yearling growth. We cull heavily on their mothers for disposition and udder quality. They will be semen tested and ready to go to work.

We will have one of the best sets of commercial yearling heifers that you will find anywhere. We will start the sale with the heifers at 12:00 p.m. MST, and they will not be on Superior. The bulls will start at 1:00 p.m. and will be on Superior. You can view the videos of the bulls on Superior’s website or ours after March 20th.

There will be a few nice ranch geldings at the end of the sale.

Come for lunch and join us at the golf course after the sale for a steak and some story swapping.

Thanks,

The Brooks Outfit
