Over the course of a year, the Earth sees dramatic shifts in the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. This video from NASA describes the changes throughout the year. Jay Fuhrer, with North Dakota NRCS, told attendees at the recent Diversity, Direction, and Dollars Ag Symposium in Dickinson that agriculture can make a big difference in absorbing accruing carbon. He suggested both cover crops and cattle grazing as ways to accomplish that goal.
