Cattle Crawl Returns to Billings this Sunday

by

The fourth annual Montana Cattle Crawl is slated for Sunday, September 12 in Billings.  The Cattle Crawl is a progressive beef dinner featuring stops at the Windmill, Rex, ZooMontana and Hilands Golf Club.  It is a project of the Young Stockgrowers Committee of the Montana Stockgrowers Association and is meant to acquaint urban beef consumers with local ranchers and encourage foodservice establishments to feature beef in a creative way.

Iron Chef Winner Marcella Tatarka of Beyond Basil will be one of the featured chefs, joined by Elias Banderas from the Windmill, Andy Fulton from the Hilands Golf Club and National Beef Backer Award Winner, David Maplethorpe, from the Rex.

Charlene Rich, Executive Director of the Montana Beef Council, spoke with Russell Nemetz about the event that is made possible by Montana cattle ranchers and their Checkoff dollars:

Along with the Montana Beef Checkoff, the Cattle Crawl is sponsored by the Billings Chamber of Commerce’s Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Two tours are offered beginning at 4:00 and 5:00 p.m. at the Windmill. Tickets are $75 per person or $140 per couple. For more information or to sign up, please contact Rose Malisani at MSGA at (406) 442‐3420.
