While we’ve seen some great weather as everyone gets their fall cattle work done, the last few weeks have also seen great trends in cash cattle. Building on higher numbers from last week, gains this week are as much as 9 dollars higher on a dressed basis.
Northern Ag Network spoke with Chad Spearman, an analyst with CattleFax, about what has been the helpful hand in this situation.Even with these strong markets, Chad told us he does see more potential for upward movement in the next couple of weeks.
The USDA will release its monthly cattle of feed report Friday afternoon.
