Initial training for commercial pesticide applicators is Monday through Friday, Dec. 14-18, in Laramie.
The program is at the Albany County Fairgrounds south of Laramie.
“This week-long session is intended for anyone 18 or older considering acquiring their commercial applicators license,” said Jeff Edwards, UW Extension pesticide applicator training coordinator.
The license allows purchasing and applying restricted and general use pesticides and receiving payment for services.
Lecture and hands-on activities are designed to help participants prepare for taking exams that Friday, said Edwards.
Topics include materials appropriate for agriculture, ornamental and turf, rights-of-way, animal control, institutional and other applications.
