The Montana Department of Agriculture, in coordination with the Kansas Department of Agriculture and the government of Costa Rica, are seeking to enhance beef genetics in Costa Rica.
Earlier this year producers from Montana and Kansas traveled to Costa Rica to have a first had look at the current beef production taking place. Now, the trade mission is stateside. Costa Rican beef industry representatives have traveled to Kansas and now Montana to explore genetic traits of beef cattle developed by U.S. producers.
