Dr. Lisa Mckinley Surber, PhD joins WestFeeds’ team

WestFeeds, a Montana Feed company serving livestock producers, is pleased to announce that Dr. Lisa Mckinley Surber, PhD Ruminant Nutritionist has recently joined their team. She received her Bachelor’s in Animal Science, Master in Ruminant Nutrition and PhD in Animal and Range Science with emphasis in Ruminant Nutrition; all from Montana State University.

 

[EasyDNNGallery|2060|Width|350|Height|350|position|left|resizecrop|False|lightbox|False|title|False|description|False|redirection|False|LinkText||]Bringing extensive experience to her new position, Dr. Surber has worked for Montana State University, as the Montana Wool Laboratory Manager and prior to that she worked as a research scientist at MSU, where she published scientific research papers, received multiple awards, and taught graduate and under graduate students. 

 

She specializes in both beef and sheep and her research involves feedlots, animal nutrition, forage analysis, beef and sheep production, and range livestock systems. She is also very active in Montana agricultural networks.

 

Dr. Surber will base out of Bozeman, at WestFeeds Research Center, working with the WestFeeds team and producers in Western Montana as well as the Great Falls region. WestFeeds maintains feed manufacturing plants in Billings and Great Falls, and customer service centers in Billings, Great Falls, Dillon, Lewistown, and Miles City as well as a ranch-direct sales team to provide on-site consultations, forage evaluations and feed program planning.
