There wasn’t much traffic on the way to work on the high plains of Eastern Montana in frontier days. L.A. Huffman, who took this photo near the turn of the last century, simply identified as a wolfer and his cart. Even with his dog at his side, this must have still been a lonely life and a hard way to make a living.
