ELD: State of the Delay

For some time now, multiple groups including livestock haulers, the Livestock Marketing Association, National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, US Cattleman’s Association and others ha been fighting to delay the implementation of the Electric Logging Devices (ELD)s for the livestock hauling industry.  Before the new year, the ELD enforcement deadline for agricultural haulers was delayed for 90 days! But, many in farm and ranch country are asking, “what happens next?”  To help answer that question, Jess Peterson with the USCA explains that the one-year ELD delay for agriculture must be looped into the final piece of legation in the appropriations funding bill.
