Flooding from Beet Factory Hits Two Homes

by

The following article is from KTVQ’s David Jay:

Flooding from the sugar beet factory affected some nearby neighbors.

Water and mud flowed into the home in back, a home in the front being remodeled and a garage at 102 Riverside Road.

“Noticed there was a lot of flooding around my house,” said Steve Church, who lives at 102 Riverside. “Rolled down the windows and that’s when the sugar beet smell hit. Water was standing about three inches in the yard. And then it just started melting the snow and turning to ice.”

The neighbor at 112 Riverside also received damage, mainly in the older front part of the home.
