Great American Wheat Harvest Movie Premiers

by

The Great American Wheat Harvest Documentary Film National Premiere Screening kicked off National Ag Day on March 25 in Washington, D.C.   The film is a documentary that follows wheat harvesting families and crews for an entire summer.

According to the show’s promoters, “We'll tell their stories – their struggles, successes & failures, their joys & sorrows, and the sheer pleasure they share in time spent with family and friends harvesting the wheat that feeds the world.”

Production officially began in 2011 with Misener Family Harvesting, JKD Harvesting, Zeorian Harvesting & Trucking, as well as Kent Braathen's crew in South Dakota and Colorado.

Jody Lamp, National Executive Co-Coordinator for the film, says that they are making plans for future movie screenings across the U.S., Canada, and Europe.  The theatrical release is scheduled for this fall and The Great American Wheat Harvest will be available on DVD in November 2014.
