Hinman Angus

Dear Friends,

This has been a year with numerous highlights at HA, beginning with the best bull sale we have ever had. We were also extremely pleased when Ty left his other job last spring and came to the ranch full time. Yvonne and I celebrated our 50th Anniversary by taking our family to Glacier Park for a few days, which we all enjoyed very much; everything from floating the river to playing cards half the night, a good time was had by all. In the fall we were blessed with the birth of our first ‘great’ and Billy and Heidi’s first grandson, Tavi William Lulloff, who we are all very proud of.

Whenever I pick up a magazine, it seems that ‘efficiency’ is the new buzz word in the industry. HA has been all about efficiency for many years, but not only in cow size. We want our cows to be small enough to be efficient but large enough to have the feedlot efficiency that our industry requires. Real efficiency is measured in many different ways. We think this year’s bulls are in line with our goals of efficiency in all areas more than ever. Real substance is a trait we cannot get too much of and it is sometimes over looked. Breeding the perfect animal is like trying to catch the end of the rainbow, it won’t happen. But we will keep trying! By balancing all areas of production constantly, we will get closer.

We would again like to thank Bruce and Linda Hould, along with their great crew, who do such a terrific job of feeding and caring for our bulls. Bruce is constantly perfecting his tireless drive of feeding the bulls to maximize their ability to hold up to the rigors of breeding. Drive into the bull center anytime to view the bulls or give us a call and we will meet you there. We are always happy to talk about the cattle, so if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to call.

All of us at Hinman Angus thank you for your past support of our program; we appreciate it and are pleased our bulls have worked for you. We invite you to join us for a presale dinner on April 4. Come that afternoon to view the bulls and visit with cattle people from all different parts of the country. Again, we look forward to greeting our friends and meeting new ones at sale time.

Sincerely,

Dave & Yvonne, Billy & Heidi
