Cowboys line up for the Miles City Round-up and Frontier Celebration Parade in 1916. One rider and horse appear to take a bow as frontier photographer L.A. Huffman takes the photo. It might seem like a long time ago to us, but by 1916 Miles City was growing up and already looking back fondly on its frontier history.

World Famous Miles City Bucking Horse Sale traces its roots trace back to circa 1914, when stock contractors started checking out bucking horses during the Miles City Roundup days.
