Investing in the future of the grain industry in Montana is top priority for the Montana Grains Foundation. The Montana Grains Foundation carries out the educational, cultural and charitable activities of the Montana Grain Growers Association.
One of the key fundraising efforts the foundation has helped support in recent years is the Endowed Chair of Plant Science in Montana State Universities College of Agriculture. Lane Nordlund spoke with Lockie Edwards, foundation member and a farmer from Big Sandy, MT, on the state of the first of its kind plant sciences chair at MSU.
