Montana Farmers Union Women's Conference 2016
The MFU Women’s Conference was developed in an effort to provide education to the women of rural Montana. Now in its fourth year, the conference has proven to be an effective method of providing women with the tools necessary to become leaders within their own communities.
The workshops and speakers scheduled for the conference have been carefully selected by the MFU Women’s Committee. As rural women themselves, they understand the daily blessings and struggles associated with rural living. And so, the MFU Women’s Conference was developed.
The agenda is full of workshops sure to pique interests. Attendees will take the True Colors Personality Test and learn communication skills based upon their personality. They will learn about the top ten herbal remedies for women and how to make tinctures and teas; needle felting; and participate in a hack-a-thon to identify issues and solutions within Montana’s rural communities. Kriss Marion of Soil Sisters will present the keynote address and Mary Sexton of the Crown Roundtable has been scheduled to provide the closing address. Add in a couple of yoga breaks and a networking lunch and you have an enlightening weekend.
Word has gotten around about the value of the value of the conference and last year, registrations were full a week and a half into the registration period. Interested ladies should register early!
