Montana FFA Foundation Announces New Executive Director and Director of Operations, Programs and Events

by Andy Schwab

The Montana FFA Foundation is proud to announce the hiring of Megan Irion as its new Executive Director. Irion brings over a decade of experience in nonprofit leadership and fundraising, including eight years as Senior Director of Development at St. Vincent Healthcare Foundation and, most recently, as Executive Director at RiverStone Health Foundation.

In her new role, Irion will collaborate closely with the Foundation Board of Directors and staff to develop fundraising strategies, manage resources and budgets, and implement a strategic plan to ensure the long-term success of the organization. She will also align the Foundation’s efforts with the Montana FFA Association and Alumni, working to meet their needs and support the development of their programs.

A Montana native and graduate of Montana State University, Irion has deep roots in both education and agriculture. Her parents were educators in Billings, and her family’s agricultural legacy dates back to 1890, when her great-great-grandfather established the Berg Ranch near Lennep, MT. Irion looks forward to building on the strong foundation laid by those before her and continuing to advance agricultural education and leadership in Montana.

“We are excited to welcome Megan to the Foundation,” said the Board of Directors. “Her background and commitment to education and agriculture make her an ideal leader as we look to the future.”

In addition to Irion’s appointment, the Foundation has also hired Curt Robbins as the new Director of Operations, Programs and Events. Robbins will oversee the management and expansion of the Foundation’s key programs and events, including:

· Social Media Engagement

· Bulls for Blues Program

· 500 Club

· FFA Foundation License Plate Program

· Ag Expo, Fusion, and State Convention

· Annual FFA Golf Tournament

Robbins will also manage daily operations, including bookkeeping and coordination of various support programs. A longtime supporter of FFA, Robbins brings over 20 years of experience on the Foundation’s board of directors and is a former FFA State Officer. His passion for agricultural education and unwavering dedication to the blue and gold make him an invaluable addition to the team.

The Montana FFA Foundation is confident that these new appointments will strengthen its mission to support the future of agriculture and leadership development across the state.
