Montana Hi-Line Braces for More Snow

by

When snow started falling early on an already-wet northeastern Montana, the writing seemed to be on the wall.  However, no one expected that writing to be quite as bold as it has turned out to be!

Tanja Fransen, Meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Glasgow, told us about their winter reality Tuesday morning.

She explained that the whole north-central part of the U.S. is going to be in trouble once it starts to melt and that runoff starts.  Locally, the Milk River will swell as small streams and water collect from as far west as Havre.  Tanja also added that Glasgow has another 5 to 10 inches of snow forecast for this weekend.

These pictures, taken by Cass Solberg outside of Richland, show how much snow is still remaining in northeastern Montana.
