Montana Ranchers Attend World Meat Congress

Meat industry experts from across the globe gathered in Buenos Aires, Argentina this week to discuss current trends and future challenges in meat production and consumption.

Those in attendance included NCBA President-Elect Bill Donald and wife Betsy of Melville, Montana and U.S. Meat Export Federation Chairman Jim Peterson and wife Lorianne of Buffalo, Montana.

Russell Nemetz spoke with Bill Donald from Argentina about the role U.S. ranchers can play in helping to feed a growing world population.

The main focus of the World Meat Congress was sustainability. Participants said it was interesting to hear the concerns about environmental issues and the limitations the industry faces with regard to availability of land and other resources.
