Montana Stockgrowers on U.S. Beef Heading to Morocco

Last week U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer and U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue announced today that the government of Morocco has agreed to allow imports of U.S. beef and beef products into Morocco. The deal is worth $80 Million Dollars for the U.S. Beef industry.  2018 is the first year that U.S. beef exporters have access to Morocco’s market under the terms of the U.S.-Morocco Free Trade Agreement (FTA).

Montana Stockgrowers Association leaders were in Washington D.C. last week. MSGA was meeting with Cheif Ag Negotiator for USTR Ag Ambassador Greg Doud when news of the trade deal broke.
