MT Wool Growers Meet in Billings for 135th Annual Convention

by

The 135th Annual Montana Wool Growers Association Convention is underway in Billings. This year predator control, funding for the MSU Wool Lab and record high wool prices are just a few of the convention topics.

Russell Nemetz talked with MWGA president Kevin Halverson from Big Timber about the growing grizzly bear problem for ranchers and making sure Wildlife Services is properly funded to help livestock producers.

It has been an incredible year for wool prices which has helped to offset lower lamb prices.

Russell Nemetz talked with the Center of the Nation Wool's Larry Prager about some of the driving forces behind the higher wool market and if these prices will continue in 2019.
