National Young Farmers Coalition Montana Summit on Ag Finance

by

The Montana Summit on Agricultural Finance will be a gathering of people who share a common interest in helping Montana farmers and ranchers access financing for their land and agricultural businesses.

The goal is for participants to leave the summit with new professional contacts, a working understanding of existing agricultural financing tools, an introduction to exciting new tools, and a plan for filling the gaps in agricultural financing going forward. Farmers, ranchers, service providers, and anyone interested in this topic is encouraged to attend and be part of the conversation.

The summit will feature two keynote speakers. Bart Morris, owner of Oxbow Cattle Company and conservation advocate, will present on building creative partnerships with existing financial tools and how to layer financial tools. Kristen Juras, attorney with statewide expertise in estate and succession planning, will present on the role of farm succession planning and estate planning in designing effective farm transitions.

SCHOLARSHIPS:

Are you a farmer or rancher hoping to attend the summit, but cost is a barrier? Farmer and rancher scholarships are available through December 15th! Please fill out our scholarship request form to apply.
