NCBA Governance Proposal Set for Big Week

by

Late last year, the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association made public its intentions to make changes to its governance structure.  The “Governance Task Force” was established to help identify and provide recommendations for what changes needed to be made.  Working groups were then assembled to dive deeper into the distinct areas of potential modifications.

Those working groups told NCBA leadership last week in Denver what they would like to see as the group moves forward with this new governance structure.  The details will be rolled out to member organizations this week.  The NCBA will also meet Tuesday and Wednesday with USDA officials to discuss the plans.  Following the USDA meeting, they will meet with other industry groups that have expressed concern about the changes.

Steve Foglesong, NCBA President, gave this statement as to where they are in the process.
