Local is an innovative, timely, and comprehensive review of American agriculture packaged into a good news documentary TV series. Local introduces viewers to urban and rural farmers, ranchers, farmers market vendors, industrial processors, importers and exporters, policy makers and those that the agricultural…industry affects: you, the people who need to eat.
The Northern Ag Network’s Russell Nemetz has been asked to host this incredible documentary TV series and on November 22, 2010 featured Local during one of his region-wide television programs.
Local is not just a television show. It’s meant to help stimulate deep conversations around agriculture in both urban and rural communities. Each episode will spark meaningful discussion, develop consensus, build coalitions, drive participation as well as create multi-generational action plans to assure that the family farmer and the consumer are heard and understood in the crucial discussion around the future of American Agriculture.
