After gathering this group of people together for a photograph, frontier photographer Evelyn Cameron seated herself in the front row. She later noted in her diary that she took 4 exposures of the group and prepared a salad for the surprise party at Garvines, but she does not mention in whose honor the party was held on Sunday, August 3, 1919. .
