Pickups Cross Once Impassable Glasgow Road

by

With the glow of Glasgow visible from many of their homes, residents just south of town were stuck at home unless they had a tractor to get through a section of road made nearly impassable by the Milk River’s recent rise.  With a cautious eye to the water, pickups began making the trip across the water-covered road over Easter weekend.

While our cameras were focused in on the water near the 6th Avenue Bridge in Glasgow this Sunday, Gary and Jan Dix were making their way back to town after checking on livestock they hadn’t been able to get to since the water rose.

Although lower, the Milk River is still a long way from being within its banks.  Those along it are ready for the waters to wane and for the real cleanup to begin.
