Pulse Growers Meet in Billings for MT Pulse Day

by

The Northern Pulse Growers Association (NPGA) hosted Montana Pulse Days November 11 & 12 at the Billings Hotel & Convention Center in Billings, MT. The event has become a premier gathering place for industry representatives and producers of dry peas, lentils, chickpeas and fava beans.

It's an exciting time for the pulse industry in Montana and the United States and many ideas and experiences were shared. There were lots of supporting industry representatives in attendance offering a valuable resource for producers and an opportunity for industry representatives to meet producers.

Attendees were also able to network, discuss what products and services might be offered in the upcoming year that are relevant and useful for their farming operation.

During this year's Montana Pulse Days, Russell Nemetz talked with NPGA vice president Mark Hardy from Beach, ND about some of the opportunities and challenges in today's pulse industry.

He also talked with the USA Dry Pea & Lentil Council's chairman Beau Anderson from Williston, ND about a recent trip to Washington, DC.

The Northern Pulse Growers Association wishes to thank and acknowledge their Platinum Sponsors for their generous contribution to the regions’ pulse industry: AGT Foods, Belchim Crop Protection, Dakota Dry Bean, Great Northern Ag, JM Grain, Legume Matrix, and USA Dry Pea & Lentil Council.

Growers are invited to the NPGA Annual Convention January 28 & 29, 2019 in Minot, ND at the Clarion Hotel.

They're also encouraged to mark down November 13 & 14, 2019 and make plans to be in Bozeman, MT at the Best Western GranTree Inn for MT Pulse Day-2019.
