Ranchers Generosity in Fires Aftermath

by

In the aftermath of the Lodge Pole Complex wildfire ranchers in Eastern Montana have little options now that their grass has burned and their fences are gone.

Jennifer and Bill Bergin own Foster Ranch Feedlot in Melstone and their opening their gates to help their neighbors affected by the fire.

The Feedlot can feed 6,000 pairs till weaning and 3,500 pairs all winter. Northern Ag Network spoke with Jennifer Bergin today and she explained how they and other volunteers will truck the cattle to the feedlot at no cost. By working with Jana Hance who is coordtinag hay, trucking and cattle feeding they will do their best so their is minimal to no cost to the producers.

The Foster Ranch Feedlot in Melstone is all one of the strategic drop off locations for hay, fencing supplies, animal health products, ect.
