The SD SheepGrowers Association will be holding their 78th annual convention September 25-26, 2015 in the beautiful Black Hills of SD. Our two-day event will feature an exciting bus tour that you won't want to miss ~ details will be coming soon.
The special MIWW “Challenge” contest will continue in 2015. Contestants will create unique items which feature SDSU Wool Project fabric remnants and yarn. Items created will be auctioned during the convention ~ and will offer a chance to bid on unique wool items and support the SDSU Wool Project scholarship fund at the same time.
On Saturday, convention attendees will hear from industry leaders on current issues in the sheep industry, on-going research and promotional activities, as well as participate in the annual business meeting. The SD Master Lamb Producer Luncheon will hi-light producers from across the state who excel in their area of the sheep industry. The evening banquet will feature state finals of the Make It With Wool contest, as well as the ever-popular auction which raises funds for promotional activities. There will be an on-going trade show, “Fleece and Fiber Fun” and hands-on wool activities in the convention lobby.
