Seed Dept. Waives Late Fees Due To Weather

by

The North Dakota State Seed Department is waiving late fees on applications for field inspections due to weather-related problems in the state. Certified seed growers still are encouraged to apply for a field inspection as soon as possible.

“We realize that wet weather has delayed planting in many areas around the state,” says Steve Sebesta, deputy seed commissioner. “Considering the difficulties growers have endured this spring, seed growers may not have had time to think about submitting applications for their seed fields. The Seed Department is taking this action to help alleviate further hardship during difficult times.”

Applications for field inspections without late fees will be accepted until July 2.

Application forms are available at county North Dakota State University

Extension Service offices or the Seed Department. Electronic forms are available on line at https://www.nd.gov/seed/forms/ndseedform.pdf.
