This week some very strong prices were seen for yearling cattle and even fall delivered calves.
The Public Auction Yards in Billings, Montana sold several nice strings of 750-785 pound steers for $114-116 plus some 935 pound steers for $111.60.
The Northern Livestock Video Auction held their May internet sale which featured over 3,600 head. Trade was moderate to active on moderate to good demand. The highlight was news that some calves sold for 2010 fall delivery.
Over 120 head of 500 pound steers sold for $129.50 for October delivery with some 590 pound steers selling for $117 for October-November delivery.
