Montanans unable to attend Senator Jon Tester’s Treasure State Export Seminar can now watch video highlights of the event and access other resources online.
Video highlights and other information are now available at: tester.senate.gov/export.
Tester hosted the seminar in Billings last week to boost jobs and business in Montana by helping companies tap into the export market.
“Senator Tester’s Treasure State Export Seminar was both timely and insightful for the sale of our mixing systems,” said Scott Leap, Business Manager for Resodyn Corporation in Butte. “We are starting to penetrate the international market with our new products that are manufactured in Butte. We left Billings that afternoon with at least five different pieces of information that are already having a positive impact on our business.”
“We saw a lot of success at our Export Seminar showing Montanans the goldmine of opportunity available in the export market,” Tester said. “We had a strong turnout, and had some valuable discussions on how to create jobs and boost Montana’s economy. Now for the folks who couldn’t make it, the information is just a few mouse clicks away.”
Tester’s Export Seminar brought together more than 100 Montana manufacturers, service providers, farmers and ranchers to learn about opportunities to sell their products and services to customers overseas.
Internet giant Google and the Export-Import Bank of the United States both took part in the event and discussed ways for Montanans to market and sell abroad.
Tester announced on Wednesday that he will host his next Small Biz Opportunity Workshop in Kalispell on July 9. The event will focus on entrepreneurship, access to capital (such as loans, grants, and tax credits), and marketing opportunities.
The workshop is free and open to public. Montanans interested in attending are encouraged to RSVP at tester.senate.gov/workshop.
