The American Prairie Reserve’s Plan for the Future

by

According to the opening slide from a recent American Prairie Reserve (APR) presentation:

“In the Northern Great Plains of Montana APR is assembling the largest wildlife reserve in the continental United States.  By acquiring and managing approximately 500,000 private acres APR will glue together a complex of private and public lands the size of Connecticut devoted to wildlife conservation and public access.”

That “Connecticut” is placed right on top of land that has been used for ranching and grazing for over a century, causing obvious contention with agriculturalists in the area.

So what are the future plans for APR?  Their Peter Geddes lined it out in a January lecture at The University of Utah.  CLICK HERE to watch that presentation.
