It is easy now days, especially for those under 50, to take Montana’s and the nation’s Interstate Highway system for granted. These state highway workers in 1961 surely didn’t. They took time to pose for this photo near Miles City. A slip form paver is in the background. Drive safely this summer, and take time to think about how the road you are driving upon got there.
