Today Superior Livestock's Corn Belt Classic video auction wrapped up.
Northern Ag Network talked with Superior representatives from Montana who said that producers were very pleased with the prices they received for their calves this year.
Even with the lower cattle futures taking the wind out of many peoples sails this week, their was optimism in the market. More optimism then last year for sure!
Charlie Cummings with Superior told Northern Ag Network that for producers that are a part of a value added program cattle are seeing $12 to $16 premium compared to those who are not.
Central Montana Cattle dominated the sale this week.
