Last week we told you again and again about a panel that Montana Congressman Denny Rehberg had put together to address the possibility of national monument designations in our region. The crew at our Lewistown, Montana radio affiliate KXLO attended the discussion on Friday. According to Fred Lark, there were nearly 200 people in attendance. He says that statements of fear, anger and mistrust were expressed by the majority.
Congressman Rehberg spoke with KXLO after the meeting.
The next big tour stop on this ongoing discussion will be made in Malta, Montana by national BLM Director Bob Abbey. The meeting, which will be at 7:00 pm on September 16, will be held in the Malta High School Gymnasium.
