Tim McGraw Giving Away 36 Homes to Veterans

Tim McGraw has already given away 108 homes to American veterans, and the country superstar has no plans to slow that down while he’s on the road for his Shotgun Rider tour.

At each of his 36 tour stops over the summer, McGraw will give away a newly renovated, mortgage-free home provided by Chase and Operation Homefront to a deserving military family — something he has been doing for three years now.

According to Operation Homefront, there are currently over 2.5 million post-9/11 veterans, and another one million who will transition out of the military in the next few years. The charity looks to help ease that process for as many vets as possible.

“The return to civilian life can be a challenging transition,” says McGraw in a message to the press. “We want to welcome veterans home to the community they sacrificed to protect. A mortgage-free home provides stability for their families and also allows them to start this new chapter of their life with one less worry. It’s an amazing feeling to see them receive something they so deeply deserve, and to be able to share that experience with thousands of fans each night makes me proud to be a part of this program.”
