Tri-State Predator Control Earmark Cut

by

According to a letter sent from Ann Peters, Acting Director in Montana for the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service to the Montana Livestock Loss Reduction and Mitigation Board, the most recent Continuing Resolution for the Federal Government was missing something for our region.

Late last week President Obama signed a Continuing Resolution (CR) that will appropriate funds to keep the Federal Government open for 3 weeks. The most recent CR eliminates funding for items designated as earmarks. There were many earmarks.  Among them was the Tri-State Predator Control Earmark.  This earmark provided wolf and predator control funding to the WS programs in Montana, Idaho and Wyoming.
