BILLINGS – Western Ranch Supply has created a program in partnership with Northern Ag Network to recognize kids who have stepped up in their communities. The program is called, The Future Generation Kid of the Month and our first winner is from Winnett, Montana.
Hayley Stahl is the daughter of Toby and Nanette Stahl. Hayley is a Senior in High School and is active in 4-H showing cattle as well as helping on the family farm and ranch.
Jena Wagner, Director of Marketing for Western Ranch Supply says Hayley stood out from the other nominations because of her involvement in 4-H, as an Ag Ambassador, and all the little things she has been doing in her community.
From being President of her local honor society to her 4-H club, the Winnett Shamrocks, Hayley is very active in her community. Under her leadership, the Shamrocks set-up a community drive to support the Samaritan’s purse program and donate items to children in need around the world.
Despite her early success, Hayley believes leadership is not just a role. Hayley considers her participation in the Ag Ambassador competition as a leadership activity. “Getting to represent agriculture in the world and getting to show people who we really are as farmers, feels like what a true leader is.”
The calm and confidence of this young lady is unmistakable. Hayley’s advice to other young leaders: “Don’t be afraid to get out there and get things done. If you get out there and get things done, and don’t be afraid of being in the way… you’ll eventually find your role and something that you truly love.”
Looking forward to the future, Hayley says, “I’m hoping to get my Ag Business Degree and hopefully come back and run the farm.”
Best of luck, Hayley!
