On Thursday the 23rd, the April meeting of the Montana Board of Livestock will be streamed live from the State Capitol for the public to view on-line. The one-day meeting is expected to attract quite a bit of interest.
Both of the newly appointed Board Members will be at the meeting, Nina Baucus of Wolf Creek, and Lila Taylor of Busby, whose appointment is just being confirmed by the Senate this very week. Recently re-appointed to this second six-year term on the Board is Brett DeBruycker of Dutton; so for the first time in several months, the Board membership is now complete, and is expected to remain unchanged for the foreseeable months ahead.
According to the posted Agenda , the Department will review the effect of recent budget reductions that have been implemented this year, and with the 64th Legislature expected to wrap up in the next few days, the proposed 2016-17 Budget for the Department of Livestock will be a subject of discussion.
Also on the Agenda is the continuation of the formal staff Performance Evaluation process which was begun last month.
As part of the new direction from the State Legislature, this Board of Livestock meeting will be available for viewing in a live stream starting at 10:00AM on Thursday morning. To view that stream on the Internet just go to www.NorthernAg.NET and click on the link that will be available there.
