Watch Washington Post Live “Future of Food”

by

Happening Thursday morning, the Western Dairy Association invites you to watch a live webcast of the Washington Post Live “Future of Food” Forum happening in Denver.

The panelists include:  Western Dairy board member Chris Kraft; President of Colorado State University Dr. Anthony Frank; President and CEO of the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce Kelly Brough; President and CEO of the Colorado Legacy Foundation Dr. Helayne Jones; renowned author and nutritionist Dayle Hayes; President and CEO of the Colorado Health Foundation Anne Warhover; and Robert Hammond, Colorado Commissioner of Education.

I want you to know that Western Dairy Association values your participation in a homegrown conversation, June 28th, on the future of food that will be hosted on the national stage by the Western Dairy Association, Washington Post Live and Slate here in Denver, Colorado.   We want you to be a part of that conversation and “Think Food” with us.

With folks in the seats in Denver and others joining in online, they say it’s important that you contribute to the live discussion through social media.  Your participation is important because one of the greatest challenges of the next generation will be providing nutritious, affordable food to a growing population – all the while using fewer resources.  In Colorado a recent survey revealed that more than 23{fd15d42d1b024b97d6d50958be27cc8145b6addb99e015780abccf2984117bb0} of households with children reported food hardship.  In the United States there are 49 million people who are considered food insecure.  One in five children under the age of 18 don’t have access to enough nutritious food to learn, grow and thrive.

Be ready to engage n the conversation by following Western Dairy on Twitter (@WesternDairy) or liking us on Facebook (click here).

The Western Dairy team and many of your neighbors will be in the audience and actively engaging through social media during the event.  By connecting with us, you’ll join a network of people who care about providing nutritious, wholesome food to everyone.  Be a part of a homegrown conversation using the “#ThinkFood” hash tag, which has become a global topic since the “Future of Food” series kicked off earlier this month in Washington D.C.

If you plan to watch online, visit WashingtonPostLive.com at the time of the event, and the live stream will start automatically.  You don’t need to register to watch online.
