by

With the theme “Biofuels:  Diversity Advances Growth,” the 22nd Annual EPAC (Ethanol Producers and Consumers) Conference was held last week at the Billings Hotel and Convention Center.  The Northern Ag Network was on hand to take in the conference and speak to the regional leaders in the ethanol industry.

Todd Sneller from Lincoln, Nebraska is the Director of the Nebraska Ethanol Board as well as being a member of the Governors Biofuel Commission.  He discussed ethanol’s role as a financial driver and dispelled some myths about the industry.

Shirley Ball is the Executive Director for EPAC as well as being President of the EPAC Board of Directors.  Northern Ag Network spoke with Northern Ag Network about the organization.  John Urbanchuck, a speaker at the conference and Technical Director for Environmental Economics at Cardno Entrix, discussed ethanol’s needs in the farm bill.
