Woolgrowers Want Wolf Management Answers

Yesterday the Montana Woolgrowers Association wrote a two-part letter to Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks Director Joe Maurier that requested he met with the Board of Directors of the Woolgrowers to discuss year-round management of the species and to ask what FWP is doing with the funding they were provided during the latest legislative session.

We spoke with Jim Brown, Director of Public Affairs for the Montana Woolgrowers Association Tuesday morning.

Jim says that their push to get more funding for the agency was prompted by the FWP stating in their website’s Q & A section that they were not financially ready to manage wolves in Montana.
